Interests

Rock Climbing - Parker has been rock climbing for almost 10 years and participated in numerous competitive climbing competitions across the nation. In addition to his five years as a member of Team Texas, a climbing team based out of Dallas, Texas,  he also served as for a year as an assistant coach for the team.

Photography - Photography is another of Parker's long-time interests. He has received multiple awards for his work, including prizes for several of the photos featured on this blog. For Parker, the most rewarding part of photography is being able to combine it with his other interests.



Travelling - When his schedule allows, Parker is also an avid traveller. He has visited four different countries since his first trip out of the United States in 2006, including spending over three months travelling and volunteering in Guatemala. He is particularly fascinated by foreign culture and society and hopes to one day live and work in another country.


Spanish - Through his studies and travels, Parker has become very proficient in Spanish language, and is on his way to minoring in Spanish. He would also like to learn to speak French and Italian to further his understanding of world cultures.
